Install on Your Phone

📱 iPhone / iPad (Safari)

1. Open this site in Safari on your iPhone (Chrome/Firefox on iOS won't work for "Add to Home Screen" PWA mode — Apple restricts this to Safari).
2. Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen (square with up-arrow).
3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
4. Confirm the name (defaults to "Aetherion") and tap Add.
5. The Aetherion icon now appears on your home screen. Tap it to launch.

🤖 Android (Chrome)

1. Open this site in Chrome on your Android phone.
2. Tap the three-dot menu (top-right).
3. Tap Add to Home screen or Install app (wording varies by Chrome version).
4. Confirm the install dialog.
5. The Aetherion icon appears in your app drawer and on the home screen.

💻 Desktop (Chrome / Edge)

1. Open this site in Chrome or Edge.
2. Look for the install icon in the address bar (a small monitor with a down-arrow).
3. Click it and confirm.
4. Aetherion launches in its own window with a dock/taskbar icon.

🌐 The "24/7 access" problem and how to solve it

Aetherion's analysis engine runs on your Mac (it talks to TradingView Desktop). The PWA installed on your phone is the frontend. For the phone to reach the Mac's server, one of these must be true:

• Same WiFi network — phone and Mac on the same router. Works at home/office. Configure with your Mac's local IP (see below).
• Tailscale (recommended) — free, secure, zero-config VPN that makes your Mac reachable from anywhere on Earth as long as both devices are signed into the same Tailscale account.
• ngrok / Cloudflare Tunnel — exposes your local server to a public URL. Less secure than Tailscale; use only short-term.

Tailscale is a peer-to-peer VPN built on WireGuard. It's free for personal use up to 100 devices. It makes your Mac reachable from your phone as if they were on the same network — no port forwarding, no public IP, no certificate management.

On your Mac

1. Download from tailscale.com/download (App Store or .pkg installer).
2. Sign in with Google, Microsoft, GitHub, or Apple. No credit card.
3. Tailscale assigns your Mac a stable IP like 100.64.x.x. You can also use the magic DNS name like your-mac.tail-scale.ts.net.
4. Note that IP/name — you'll need it on your phone.

On your iPhone / Android

1. Install Tailscale from the App Store or Google Play.
2. Sign in with the same account you used on your Mac.
3. Toggle the VPN on. Your phone now has access to your Mac's 100.64.x.x IP.

No installation needed

Aetherion is a cloud-hosted web application. All features — scanning, AI chat, reports, and live charts — work directly in your browser. There is nothing to download, install, or configure.

Simply create an account and start using the live tool at /live.

🧪 Verify the PWA installed correctly

After installing on your phone, check:

• The icon appears on your home screen with the gradient "A" logo
• Tapping the icon opens fullscreen (no Safari/Chrome address bar)
• The status bar at the top of the screen is dark (theme color applied)
• You can navigate between Home / About / Methodology even with airplane mode on

🔄 Updating the app

The service worker checks for updates every time you launch the app. If a new version is available, it installs in the background and activates on your next launch. To force an immediate update, fully close the app (swipe up in the app switcher) and reopen.

To completely uninstall and reinstall: long-press the home-screen icon → Remove App → Delete App. Then revisit the site in Safari/Chrome and re-add to home screen.
